An amazing piece of plastic

The Invisible Shield is a pretty incredible military grade plastic that protects nearly any portable electronic device (cell phones and mp3 players). They go on completely invisible (no air bubbles or dirty finger prints) and stay on really secure. They are great because they really don't ever scratch. We have tried cutting different Invisible Shields to fit other products and even with a box cutter knife there wasn't even a scratch. We really do recommend having one for mp3 players and cell phones especially so that your device always looks brand new! Click on the picture to visit their web site and pick out one for you phone or mp3 player. Get the invisibleSHIELD

The DTV transition has been delayed - New Date

DTVThe DTV transition has been delayed by several months due to a large part of the population not being prepared for the switch. Do not wait to purchase your digital converter box if you need one. You need a box if: you have a TV not connected to satellite or cable, and does not have a digital tuner (ATSC) built in to it. Some digital converter boxes are already being discontinued and many TV stations are continuing the transition on the previous date because of the cost of the analog signal. The new date is going to be June 12th. The advantages of digital TV (DTV) is a clearer picture without any "fuzz." With DTV the picture either comes in perfect, or does not come in at all. This means that if you have stations that come in fairly "fuzzy" than you may need a better antenna. For most people your current antenna should work perfectly fine.

eye-fi

Eye-Fi Card: It's essentially a 2gb SD (secure digital) memory card. What makes this card extra interesting is the fact that it has wireless connectivity built in. What this allows the card to do is upload, or send, all of the pictures on the memory card to your computer and/or website (Facebook, Fickr, Picasso, etc.) without a need to spend time connecting the camera to the computer or even touching your computer. All that is necessary is a one time setup done by inserting the card into the USB adapter that it comes with and then following the on screen instructions. Once this easy and fast setup is complete than any time that your computer is turned on and your camera is in the wireless area than the pictures will be quickly and automatically uploaded. It is a really cool new device made to make technology even easier, for more information visit www.eye.fi or view this youtube video (click here).

Web Browser: Your web browswer is what you use to view the internet. On most Window's computers the default browser is Internet Explorer 8.0 and on most Mac's the default browser is Safari. If you are using dial up than you would access the internet through your dial-up providers web browser such as AOL. Although these web browsers work fine, there are better browsers. Internet Explorer(IE) has been around for a while and gone through many changes and improvements but it has also been one of the most vulnerable to spyware, adware, and viruses. IE was introduced around the same time as Mozilla Firefox and initially was a much more popular choice. Today, Mozilla Firefox is becoming a preference for web browsers because of it's enhanced security and performance and compatibility with Mac and Windows operating systems (IE is only compatible with Windows). Downloading and using Firefox is very simple, click here to learn more or visit www.mozilla.com

Bluetooth: This wireless signal is most popular with cell phone users currently but it is becoming useful for other electronic devices such as computers, GPS, and even some cameras. The bluetooth signal has a long range, and excellent strength. In states that have banned holding cell phones while driving it comes in handy to use your bluetooth headset, or GPS unit for a hands free cell phone solution. It can also be used on some newer computers for linking your phone with the computer or for wireless mice without the need of taking up a USB port. If you are around other bluetooth computers you can also send or receive information from them using the bluetooth connection. It works by initially turning on the signal in your phone or computers settings, usually found in the wireless devices in control panel on your computer, or in the connectivity settings on your phone. After you turn on the signal you ask it to search for other bluetooth signals and select the one you want to connect with. For more information visit www.bluetooth.com
